The reason why we went up to Baguio is not merely for vacation but also to watch our nephew's football game. We arrived a day before the competition so we had time to visit some attractions in the city.

Doglas, the Saint Bernard
We first went to Mines View park so our niece could see the panoramic view of the mountains which we learned are gold mines. Being dog lovers, we didn't pass the chance to have our picture taken with Doglas, the adorable Saint Bernard. He was so cute!

Next stop is the Mansion. We only had our picture taken at the gate and good thing the guards allowed us to go in a little past the gate.

After having our photos taken, we went straight to Wright Park. We were supposed to go horseback riding but we only had little time. So we just went to the Botanical Garden. Nothing much to see here except for large statutes of Igorot tribesman and replicas of their huts. We also had our photo taken with the Igorots at the entrance of the park.

We woke up the next day to watch our nephew's game in Brent School. He was the goal keeper of their team and we were so happy they got 2nd place.

After the game, we decided to bring them to the Philippine Military Academy (PMA). The two kids had fun posing and having their pictures taken with the cadets, the airplanes, the guns and the tanks.

Too bad, the kids needed to go back to Manila the same day. We were not able to bring them to Burnham Park which is just in front of our hotel.

We went to Burnham Park early the next day and rented a bicycle. We went to Good Shepherd Convent to buy ube and strawberry jam after. We also went back to Mines View Park to buy some "pasalubong" before checking out of the hotel.

This trip was a memorable one since we were able to bond with our niece and nephew. Since summer has already started, this makes us want to plan our next trip to our favorite travel destination.
