Upon learning that Shangri-La Mactan also offers day tour, we decided that this will be Day 2 of our Cebu trip. We wanted total relaxation anyway. A Day in Paradise costs Php 2,500 each person. The package includes a lunch buffet at Tides Restaurant, free use of the beach, pool and towels, free use of the gym, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi, 10% discount on Health Club and Salon services for adults, complimentary 2 hours use of Kid's Adventure Zone for kids and 25% discount on dinner buffet at Tides Restaurant. Please note though that day tour is not available if the resort is fully booked. So I sent them an email weeks before to inquire if it is available on our preferred date. Good thing they said yes!

Since I was not feeling well that day, we decided to explore the resort first then have lunch before swimming. We checked out the swimming pools, gym and of course, the beach.

At 12PM, we went to Tides Restaurant to avail of our buffet lunch. I'll tell you about our lunch in a separate entry.

I was already feeling a little better after lunch so we decided to go for a swim. The waves were high that day since it was raining. So we decided to just transfer to the pool area. At around 5PM, we had to get dressed since our shuttle going back to Cebu City will pick us up at 7PM. The shuttle cost Php 100/person and drop off point is in SM Cebu or Ayala Center Cebu. To be able to maximize your time in Shangri-La, you can take the last trip back to Cebu City.

Though I was not feeling well in the morning, this trip to Shangri-La Mactan is still a memorable one. Imagine being pampered for a day in a world-class hotel. That's what you call total relaxation!

  1. Looks like you really had fun in Shangri-la Mactan! :D I'm scheduled to go to Cebu this year, I've previously planned to avail of Shangri-la Mactan's day tour, but it wouldn't push through na 'cause we're bound for Malapascua. The next time though, I'll make sure to visit Shangri-la Mactan :)
